The best reward, their smile

CEIP_Antonio_Beltrán_MartínezLast Friday 23 January, I delivered the first presentation within the project “Safety culture from school”, to a primary education class in the “Antonio Beltrán Martínez” school, in the city of Zaragoza.

At right, a group photo with all the students of the class.

According to the established program of the presentations, I firstly talked about the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) -indispensable collaborator body in this initiative- and about its current “Healthy Workplaces Manage Stress” campaign in which the project “Safety culture from school” is embedded.

However, the main topic of the presentation was about a specific aspect that concerns the college staff: road safety and certain hazardous situations in the grounds of the centre. To do so, I supported the presentation and the subsequent practical exercise on the NAPO´s “Best signs story” videos.

The guys loved it so much and the 45 minutes of the presentation went flying.

As a part of my work, I gained a considerable experience performing training courses and even gave some lectures to large audiences. Always to adult people. But I must recognice that for me, the presentation to the students of the “Antonio Beltrán Martínez” school was one of the greatest challenges I faced in the recent times. An ultimate responsibility that brings to my mind the first course I delivered in the year 2004. Lucky me, from the “first minute” I felt that I was in front of an excellent students and, thanks to that, the presentation was much more easy.

For my part, I was a great experience as well, with an unforgettable image: your smile, which I hope to see someday again and that, above all, you must learn to keep on your face. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
